Advisory and Consulting
I provide advisory and consulting services to government agencies and research bodies on applied genomics, bioinformatics, and cloud-backed analysis pipelines. Engagements typically combine technical design, capability assessment, and translation between research methodology and operational deployment.
For evidence of broader research uptake — including media reach, policy citations, and tier-1 outlet coverage — see Research Impact.
Centre for Invasive Species Solutions (CISS)
Pilot project: gold-standard methodology for dingo ancestry testing — consultancy agreement, 2025.
A research-and-development engagement: systematically benchmark existing ancestry-testing approaches and develop a defensible, cost-effective standard suitable for adoption across Australian wildlife-management agencies. The deliverables sit at the level of which method should jurisdictions be using, and on what evidence — methodological rather than operational.
Department of Primary Industries and Regions, South Australia (PIRSA)
Dingo ancestry and admixture testing — services agreement with the Minister for Primary Industries and Regional Development (acting through PIRSA), 2026.
A short, operationally focused service-delivery engagement supporting PIRSA’s Biosecurity team: take the supplied tissue samples and return ancestry and admixture-proportion estimates using best-available methodology. Where the CISS work is what test should we use, this engagement is test these samples, well.
